The creative process begins with what is to me an important experience. The experience fosters thoughts and emotions which are as necessary to the creative process as is the stone itself. Often, it is nature and sounds which evoke these feelings and inspire me to create. Nature, sounds and the ensuing emotions become the stimulus from which an image is produced. The image in turn becomes form, and form becomes sclupture. As an artist, I see myself as the medium through which thoughts, feelings, and emotions are transferred to the image and finally to the sculpture itself. The abstract becomes the concrete and the image, no longer needed, is set free.
